Leslie Blakey has a diverse background in public outreach, project development, policy research and government affairs. Over the past sixteen years with Blakey & Agnew LLC, which manages the Coalition for America’s Gateways & Trade Corridors (CAGTC), she has overseen projects and clients primarily in the transportation and the freight industry.
As President of the Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors, a 501(c)6 non-profit corporation, Leslie has helped to unite a large and growing number of public and private organizations around the need for increased federal investment in multimodal freight infrastructure. Leslie also served as the Coalition’s Executive Director for 15 years, during which time she managed the Coalition’s work to increase awareness of the relationship between trade and infrastructure development. She also coordinated complementary legislative strategy and support.
In 2012, Leslie was appointed to the Department of Commerce Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Eno Transportation Foundation and has addressed transportation issues before a wide variety of groups, such as the Transportation Research Board of the National Academy of Sciences, Intelligent Transportation Society of America, the Retail Industry Leaders Association and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. She is a regularly featured speaker at the Trans-Pacific Maritime Conference and Maritime Week Americas.
She holds a B.S. in Sociology and a M.S. in Public Administration from Florida State University. Leslie is also fluent in French and holds a degree from the Lycee Hoteliere de Strasbourg in France.
