This morning at 10 AM Eastern, the U.S. Department of Transportation released the text of the notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the third round of the Nationally Significant Freight and Highway Projects program. As we informed you yesterday, the Trump Administration has rebranded this program from FASTLANE to the Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) grants.
The NOFO is available here: https://www.transportation.gov/sites/dot.gov/files/docs/policy-initiatives/infra/259257/fy17-18-infra-nofo.pdf. Per USDOT, the deadline for submitting applications is 8 PM Eastern, 120 days after the NOFO’s publication in the Federal Register. The grants.gov “Apply” function will open by August 1, 2017. Approximately $1.5 billion is available through this round. Please note the NOFO has not officially run in the Federal Register but CAGTC will circulate it when it does.
CAGTC will review the announcement and share any significant changes between FASTLANE and INFRA.
