On February 26, 2019, Mr. Joseph C. Szabo, Executive Director, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, testified on behalf of both CAGTC and CMAP before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation Subcommittee on Transportation and Safety during a hearing titled “Connecting America: Examining Intermodal Connections Across Our Surface Transportation Network.” He called on Congress to create a national strategy for freight investment to provide dedicated, sustainable and flexible funding for multimodal freight infrastructure projects.
