CAGTC Members,
The Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Surface Transportation and Merchant Marine Infrastructure, Safety, and Security will hold a hearing on Tuesday, April 4 titled “Keeping Goods Moving: Continuing to Enhance Multimodal Freight Policy and Infrastructure.” The hearing will explore the importance of investing in our multimodal freight network. James Pelliccio, President and CEO of Port Newark Container Terminal (PNCT) and CAGTC Member, will testify on behalf of both PNCT and CAGTC.
I encourage any CAGTC members who will be in town next week to attend the hearing, which will take place on Tuesday, April 4 at 2:30 pm in the Russell Senate Office Building, Room 253. The hearing will cover important topics, likely touching on how freight might fit into a large-scale infrastructure package and the importance of preserving the TIGER competitive grant program.
