Katie Cross is the manager for membership communications and policy for the Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors (CAGTC). In her role, Katie serves as the main point of contact between CAGTC members and staff, keeping members updated on relevant goings on in Washington, D.C. She works provide CAGTC members with the most relevant information by boiling down complex policy and legislative issues and delivering summaries and analysis in a quick, easy to understand manner. Additionally, she helps to oversee website development, CAGTC social media, and the Coalition’s bi-monthly newsletter.
Prior to joining CAGTC, Katie interned at the Ecology Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. While there she worked on legislative and policy initiatives as well as on the beginning stages of campaign planning. She also held an internship with the US Department of State during which time she served in the Front Office at the US Embassy in Madrid, Spain. In this position, Katie helped to draft speeches, planned Embassy events, and translated articles for Embassy staff.
Katie graduated from the University of Michigan with B.A.s in Political Science and International Studies. Katie is a native of Johns Creek, Georgia.
