CAGTC Members,
Yesterday, USDOT hosted the second in its series of INFRA webinars, this time focusing on rural and tribal applicants. Please find the notes from the presentation here. While much of the introductory information was the same, Paul Baumer, Policy Advisor to the Undersecretary of Transportation for Policy at USDOT, did provide some more details for rural and tribal applicants, which are highlighted in the attached document.
Below are two takeaways from the Q&A that are of interest to all (including those who are not applying under the rural/ tribal program):
- USDOT said it is working on a draft NOFO for the TIGER grants, which should be out soon.
- USDOT will host more webinars throughout the INFRA process, including one in August that will focus on an application’s benefit-cost analysis. The exact date has yet to be announced.
Recordings of each INFRA webinar will be made available when ready on the INFRA website here. The recording of the July 13 webinar is already online.
Thank you,
