CAGTC Members,
Yesterday, the White House confirmed they will not be moving forward with the Presidential Advisory Council on Infrastructure. As a reminder, this Council stemmed from an Executive Order President Trump issued in late July. He tasked the Council with studying the “scope and effectiveness of… Federal Government funding, support, and delivery of infrastructure projects,” and it was meant to focus on multiple sectors including surface transportation.
The cancellation of this Council comes just after the disbanding of two other advisory councils to the President as well as a lawsuit against the infrastructure council for not abiding by the requirements of the Federal Advisory Committee Act.
Thank you,
